International Mud Day

WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL MUD DAY?

On June 29th Sparklers celebrated International Mud Day! A day where children, adults, and organizations across the globe get muddy to raise awareness about the importance of nature for children. From mud kitchens and digging pits to mud pies and mud art there is an array of activities that can ignite children’s imagination.

Our champion Dads

Our Dads are all champions.

Happy Father's Day

This week the children have spent time together talking about their Dads and Grandads. We have looked at their similarities and differences in personality and looks.

"My Daddy"

"My Dad fixes things and has a big van when he goes to work"

"Daddy plays with me"

"I help my Grandad doing his garden and Grandma gives me biscuits"

Happy Birthday to the Queen

Today we have been to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday with our friends and family at a village event at St John's Church.

"Do I look like the Queen?"

Despite the rain we ate our picnic indoors. We each chose something that we liked to take with us to share.

After lunch we watched the children from the two village schools perform songs, play instruments, dance and recite poetry. We joined in singing and flying our flags.

Thank you to Pilling Parish Council for inviting us to your celebration.
