Happy birthday

It  is the Queen's 90th birthday and Sparklers have been joining in the fun.

Together we have built our own castles and a new role play castle thinking carefully about the 2D and 3D shapes we have used.

Physical Development

As an active nursery strengthening our body is very important.

Let us introduce Maximo. He is our interactive friend who helps us stretch and bend using yoga style moves. We concentrate on our breathing and relaxing while listening to the instructions he gives us.

These are some of our favourite moves.

Strengthening our bodies helps us with our climbing to balance and feel more confident.

Looking at music and rhythm

We have been listening to different styles of music from pan pipes, movie soundtracks to Minion dance tunes. We have incorporated these into our dough dancing which has been great fun whilst strengthening our muscles.

Alongside using our own body to move to the rhythm we have used a variety of percussion instruments.
We can link the different sounds instruments make to parts in stories.

We enjoy singing and dancing each having our own favourite songs and rhymes we sing together.

There is nothing better than making up our own songs and dances with friends.
