Great Outdoors

The summer season is here and hopefully the good weather will stay. Being out doors is vitle to your childs development. It gives us more space to be noisy, active and boisterous, experience of different weathers and seasons, contact with the natural world, a freedom to do things we may not be able to indoors
Whilst outdoors we will be enjoying filling and emptying containers, hiding, tents, digging and exploring natural materials like soil, water, sand, leaves, pebbles, fir cones, shells. We will be growing our own flowers and vegetables learning to care for living things, The outdoors offers so many multi sensory experiences developing your childs physical and emotional well being, there will be plenty of opportunities to touch, smell, hear, taste and see. So how can you help your child get the most out of the outdoors? Provide suitable clothing for all weathers including a hat and name labelled suncream Encourage your child to care for living things, give them a plot of their own in your garden Involve your child in outdoor activities such as gardening, washing the car, sweeping, feeding wildlife
